My great-grandmother, Minnie Blythe Somers, died on April 17, 1895 at 28 years of age after a long and severe illness. She left behind her husband, Oscar, and three young children, Ralph, Josephine and baby Grover.

Rhinebeck - Mrs. Minnie Somers,died April 17, age 28 years, after a long and severe illness. The funeral, which was conducted by Rev. Hardy, was held at the house, interment in Slate Hill cemetery. She left a husband and three small children. She was a good wife, a loving mother, a true friend and a kind neihbor. She leaves a large circle of friends to mourn their loss.
Her star was not like the evening star, lost in darkness, but like the morning star, lost in the glorious light of eternal day.
