Mrs Alice Isabella Catherine Topper, 66, wife of James Topper, died Monday morning at 2:40 o'clock from complication of diseases at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Allison, McKnightstown R.D. Death followed an illness of three months.
She was born in Butler township, a daughter of the late John and Rachel (Grove) Jacoby and lived her entire life in Adams county. For the last three months she has resided with the Allisons.

Surviving are her husband; six sons, Howard and Raymond, York Springs R.D.; Clayton and Luther, Gettysburg; Walter, New Oxford R.D.; Arthur, Fairfield R.D.; one daughter, Mrs. Allison, with whom the deceased resided; one brother, Joseph Jacoby, Gettysburg; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Cassatt; Aspers, and 27 grandchildren.

Funeral services Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Deatrick funeral home, Gettysburg, with the Rev. Ernest W. Brindle, pastor of Zion Evangelical Reformed church Arendtville, officiating. Interment in Grace Lutheran cemetery, Two Taverns.
