John W. Jacoby, 67, a chair manufacturer, residing in Butler Twp., along the Harrisburg Rd., died suddenly of an apoplectic stroke at noon Tuesday, at his worhshop. He was found in a dying condition by his son, Orville Jacoby, and died before he could be removed to his home.
Mr. Jacoby is survived by one son Orville Jacoby of Gettysburg R.D.; one daughter: Mrs. John Black of Biglerville R.D.; one brother: Joseph Jacoby of Two Taverns; and two sisters: Mrs. Alice Topper and Mrs. Elizabeth Cassatt; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services from the L.C. Pittenturf Funeral Home, York Springs, with futher services at Bender's Reformed Church, Biglerville, the Rev. H.W. Sternat officiating. Interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
