Allen Ray Redus was born Dec. 14, 1934, he went to be with the Lord, Dec. 17, 2010 at the age of 76. Born at his parents home in Devine. He was the 14th and last child of Clem and Hazel Redus. He graduated from Devine High School in 1952 and served in the Army, stationed in Beckley West Virginia for three years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bandera for 21 years, 10 years as an usher. He also drove the church bus for seven years.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sonja Lou Redus of Bandera; daughters Vicki Redus Martinez and husband Lupe of Floresville, Wendy Redus Holdman and husband Michael of Lubbock, and Terry Edwards of Bandera; sons Randall Allen Redus and wife Karen of San Antonio, Kevin Redus and wife Michele of Poteet, and Curtis Harberson of Bandera; brothers George M. and wife Kay Redus of Devine, and Clifford and wife Lorene Redus of Bastrop; sister Mildred Brooks of Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, who were all dear to his heart, as were all children he met.

Funeral services were held Dec. 22, at First Baptist Church of Bandera with Bro. Dave Collett officiating. Burial followed at Bandera Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chuck Newell, Cory Simmons, Lupe Martinez, George Redus, Jr., Jerry Simpson and Keith Redus.
