MONSON, Barbara E. Kronholm, 85, died of a sudden illness February 6, 2007, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. She was born June 9, 1921, in Guilford, daughter of Alexander and Minnie (Lovell) Nesbit. She attended Guilford schools and graduated from Guilford High School. On November 8, 1941 she married Colby F. Kronholm. She belonged to many civic organizations and was Piscataquis County Democratic Chairwoman for many years. She loved family gatherings and especially loved the grandchildren and the great grandchildren. Barbara and her husband always enjoyed the neighborhood children and often had them over to their home, which was always a welcome place for family, friends, and neighbors. Another favorite place for Barbara was their camp in Monson.

She is survived by her husband of Monson; a son, Ronald Kronholm of Norridgewock; a daughter Estella "Tootie" Bennett and her husband, Wayne of Guilford; 4 grandchildren, Boyd and Wade Kronholm, and Aaron and Adam Bennett; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Talon of Florida.

She was predeceased by a brother, Halton.
