DUMAS - Agnes Walls, 88, of Borger, formerly of Dumas, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Wheeler of Borger and President Packard of Dumas officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Walls was born June 21, 1915, in Marysville. She married J.D. Walls in 1934 in Hydro, Okla. She had lived in Dumas for 20 years, in southern California for more than 40 years, and had been a resident of Borger since 1997. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Herbert Walls; and a brother, Bill West.

Survivors include four sons, Claudy Ray Walls of Fresno, Calif., Clarence "Kemp" Walls of Bakersfield, Calif., Roy Walls of Oklahoma City and Bobby Joe Walls of Long Island, N.Y.; four daughters, Nelda Lewis, Melba Santana and Lola Walls, all of Borger, and Linda Groepier of Los Angeles; two sisters, Reddie Bunnell of San Jose, Calif., Liddie Bell Cutwright of Denver; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1007 N.E. Fourth St., Dumas, TX 79029.

The family will be at 300 N. Meredith St. in Dumas.
