Irene Langley was the daughter of Allen Springer and Lillian (Thompson) Springer. She was a member of the first graduating class of Hurley High School in 1927. She married William Dutton Langley October 29, 1927, in Galena, Stone County, Missouri. They were parents of three sons. The marriage ended in divorce. Irene worked at the shoe factory in Aurora for many years. After retirement she lived in her home about one mile west of Hurley until entering the nursing home in Crane due to ill health. She was living there when she died.
