Katherine "Kitty" Graham was born Catherine-Mathilde Rock in L'Aveninr, Canada East, seventh child and fourth daughter of Joseph and Catharine (Boucher) Rock in 1861. She grew up around Humboldt, Kansas, where her parents homesteaded.
She married at about 18 to a Mr. McIntyre, but was either divorced or widowed early. Her second marriage was to a Mr. Graham. She spent most of her adult working life as a "Harvey Girl", working for the Fred Harvey Restaurant chain, eventually settling in Albuquerque, New Mexico, near her younger sister, Frances. She retired to Albuquerque, and died there in 1943. She left no children, but was the only one of her siblings to remain in communication with all of them and with their children.
My thanks to ProgBase for having located Kitty's grave and having created this memorial.
And my thanks also to Buckshot1964 for having added a photo of her gravestone.
