She was born March 26, 1925 in Moroni, Utah to John Henry and Delphia Morley Hardy.
She married Richard Elmo Johnson on June 25, 1948 in Springville, Utah and they were blessed with three children. She was a loving example to her family and will be missed dearly.
Joyce was employed as the Dining Room Manager at Cottonwood Country Club in Holladay, Utah. She was a member of The Daughters of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed ceramics and handwork. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Richard D. Johnson, West Valley City; and Lynn (Toby) Harding, Woodland Hills; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by a sister, Ruth Hardy (Bill) Sleight, Holladay, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Elmo Johnson; a daughter, DeeAnn Davis; son-in-law, Lynn Davis; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Family graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in the Murray City Cemetery.
