Married 1st Robert Boyce Flygare 26 Jul 1948 Salt Lake Co., UT

2 children

Married 2nd George William Sleight 03 Aug 1973 Salt Lake Co., UT

Our beloved Ruthie danced into the arms of her sweetheart on Thursday, October 18, 2012.
Born October 8,1930 to loving parents, John and Delphia, "Baby Ruth" brought a piece of heaven with her to share with the world. In the summer of 1948, she married Robert "Bob" Flygare beginning her treasured family. She gave birth to her daughter Jeanne and three years later gave birth to her son Robert. She spent their childhood teaching them the gospel by her shining example and showing them how to love and serve. After many years, she parted ways with Bob but remained friends. She continued to build her family in the fall of 1973, marrying William "Bill" Sleight, welcoming a son Craig, his wife Patti and a daughter Linda Shiles into her life.

As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she cherished her relationship with her Savior. She served Him with all of her heart, mind and soul. Through her undying service, no mouth went unfed, no heart uncomforted and no life untouched. His countenance shown through her at all times, in all things and in all places blessing family, dear friends and all she knew. She enriched many lives with her love of music. Her beautiful voice and accomplished piano melodies will forever ring in the holidays and bring comfort to her loved ones on lonely nights. She radiated a classic sophisticated beauty that was unforgettable. She has truly left a legacy of charity, service and Christ-like love that will carry her loved ones through this life until they meet her again in His kingdom.

She is survived by her loving family; daughter Jeanne (Larry) Wehrli, son Robert (Jaleen) Flygare, daughters in-law Patti Sleight and Linda Shiles. She is also survived by her devoted grandchildren Angela (Mike) Brimhall, Julie (Chad) Coon, Mark (Carlie) Wehrli, Todd and Matthew Flygare, Jordan (Chad) Bunting and great grandchildren Jay, McKay, Tanner, Grant, Ashlynn, BreElle, Adelyn, Ashton, Garrett and Lucas. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister, husband Bill and son Craig.
