Emma Louise (Belote) Arnold, 95, of Lufkin, was born October 1, 1915 in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away January 8, 2011 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Arnold moved to Lufkin at a young age and married Tom Arnold in 1940. She worked most of her life at Foley's Beauty Salon in Houston. She enjoyed camping and fishing and she loved to travel. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Don and Brenda Arnold of Pasadena, Texas; grandchildren, Cyndi Rushing, John Joslin and wife, Tanja, Rusty Joslin and wife, Roseanne; great-grandchildren, Forrest Rushing and wife, Shelby, Savannah Rushing, Paxton Joslin, Savannah Joslin; and great-great-great-grandson, Joey Rushing.

Mrs. Arnold is preceded in death by her parents, Emma Joyce (McCormick) and Jesse Belote; husband, Tom Arnold; three brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be John Joslin, Rusty Joslin, Chuck Jolly, Forrest Rushing, Joe Henry Arnold and Allen Deisch.

Graveside services for Mrs. Arnold will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Glendale Cemetery in Glendale, Texas with Bro. Keith Woolf officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
