BILOXI -- Ota Barras Rug, 91, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Rug was a native of St. Martinville, La., and had been a longtime resident of Biloxi. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and also was a member of the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Mable LeJune, Evelyn Hollier, Ruby Baucom, Philomena Meyers and Yola Pratt; and a brother, Stanley Barras.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Rug; a son, Edward Rug, both of Biloxi; two sisters, Helen Wiltz of Ocean Springs and Lena Clemmons of D'Iberville; a brother, Frank T. Barras Sr. of Biloxi; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church in Biloxi, where friends may call an hour before service time. Burial will be in Biloxi City Cemetery. Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
