Edward A. Haniewski, 77, of First Ave. South, Lake Worth, FL, and former long time Cromwell resident, husband for 52 years of the late Helen R. (Sekscenski) Haniewski, died suddenly on Thursday, (November 4, 2004) at his home in Lake Worth, FL.

Born in New Britain he was the son of the late Alfons and Stasia (Zapatka) Haniewski. Mr. Haniewski had moved to Lake Worth, FL in 2001 to be with two of his sons.

He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, serving aboard the U.S.S. Tennessee in the Pacific.

He was employed as a machinist and tool and die maker for many years.

He is survived by three sons, Edward Haniewski, Jr. of Cheshire, Robert Haniewski of Lake Worth, FL and David Haniewski of Lantana, FL; a sister, Florence Adachowski of Kensington; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Haniewski and Edward Haniewski III, both of Meriden and Christopher Haniewski of Middletown; and four great grandchildren, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Bailey, and Teddy.

Graveside services were held at the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown,
