She married Edwin HARMS 7 Dec 1919 at her home in Pleasant Twp., Harvey Co., Kansas (Grace Hill Community).

Sophia died a month after her second child was born.

Obituary - Mrs. Edwin Harms
The funeral of Mrs. Edwin Harms, who died June 13 (1924) at her home 11 miles east of Newton, was held June 15, at the Gnadenberg church. Burial took place at the Gnadenberg cemetery.
Mrs. Harms was born near Whitewater, March 15, 1894. She confessed her Lord, was baptized June 4 1911, and became a member of the Gnadenberg church. She was united to Edwin Harms, Dec. 7, 1919.
Mrs, Harms had not been strong since she was ill of influenza several months ago and her strength was agian weakened when she gave birth to a baby son, five weeks ago.
Surviving Mrs. Harms are her husband and two sons, her aged father, A. J. Schmidt amd six sisters, Mrs. J. S. Schmidt of Canada, Mrs. Kliewer of Oklahoma, amd Mrs. H. P. Schmidt, Mrs. P. P. Nickel, Mrs. D. W. Schmidt, and Mrs. Gus Ewert, all of this community.
