Christine Emma Nelson, 100, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m., followed by funeral Mass at 12 noon, Wednesday, January 12, at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 777 NE Blackwell Road, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64086. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Kendallwood Hospice, 2908 NW Vivion Road, Riverside, Missouri 64150. Mrs. Nelson was born August 30, 1910 in Salisbury, Missouri, daughter of Henry and Emma (Kressig) Abeln. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Nelson, five brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her sister, Agnes Weinhaus, of Salisbury, Missouri; three children, John R. Nelson (Sherrill), Helen R. Baumer (Joe), and Mary Banks (Jim); eight grandchildren; many great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, and nephews. Condolences may be made at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
