Henry Abeln Funeral Held At Salisbury

The funeral of Henry Abeln, who died at his home Sunday, was held from St. Joseph's Church Wednesday morning.
Mr. Abeln, 66, was a retired farmer and had lived in the community north of Salisbury since he was 15 years old until he moved to Salisbury a few months ago. He was a native of St. Louis, and his wife, who survives him, was Miss Emma Kressig.
There are seven children surviving, Edward Abeln, Marceline, Henry Abeln and Mrs. Frank Nelson, Kansas City, Mrs. Louis Weinhaus, Clifton Hill, Pfc. Walter Abeln, now in the South Pacific, Marvin Abeln, Chicago, and Leonard Abeln, Salisbury. There are 9 grandchildren.
Besides these, there are two brothers, Ben Abeln, Chicago, Louis Abeln, Salisbury, and three sisters, Mrs. Fabian Ginter, New Franklin, Mrs. Josie Stanley, Newton, Kansas, and Mrs. Celia Richstatter, Salisbury.
All the children were present for the rites except the son in the service, all brothers and sisters were here except, Mrs. Stanley. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery.
