Mrs. Ira Burdette
LYONS - Mrs. Alva Burdette, 76, died Thursday night at the Rice County District Hospital after a short illness, born Aug. 4, 1894, at Greenville, Tenn., she was married to Ira Burdette Jan. 27, 1916. He died June 5, 1965. They moved here from Parsons in 1960.
Surivors include a daughter: Mrs. Elmer Behnke, Bushton; son: Paul Lyons; sister: Mrs. John Goodfellow, Lyons; brother: Ross Higgins, Parsons; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crawford - Miller mortuary, Lyons; Rev. Everett Vaughn. Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 9 pm. Friday at the mortuary.
