Betty LaRue Evans Nielson, age 86, passed away on January 6, 2011 while surrounded by her loving family.

Mom was born April 12, 1924 in Logan, Utah to Joseph Alvin Evans and Lillian Eschler Evans in Logan, Utah.

Betty is survived by her loving friend and husband, Reed L. Nielson of Logan, Utah; children, Peggy (Blaise) Chanson of Logan, Stan (Krista) Nielson of Salt Lake City, and Matt (Colleen) Nielson of Logan; brother, Woodrow (Beth) Evans of Provo, Utah; eighteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son Scott, her parents, her brothers: Darwin, Joe, Lloyd, and Evertt, and her sister Merlin.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on January 11, 2011 in the Lundstrom Park Third Ward Chapel, 1260 North 1600 East, Logan. A viewing will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, and prior to the services on Tuesday 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery.
