Leslie Tolman Larson passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday morning, January 8, 2011 with his sweetheart by his side.

He was born December 1, 1922 in Oakley, Idaho to Fredrick William and Mary Alice Tolman. Leslie grew up in Oakley, Idaho, he enjoyed playing high school sports and band.

On June 19, 1943, Les married June Peacock in Provo, Utah. They had three children. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on December 5, 1970.

Les attended BYU in the fall of 1942 and shortly after he enlisted in the Army Reserve Core. He served honorably during World War II in the Philippine Islands. He was a very patriotic person, he loved his country and the service he gave.

He enjoyed a successful career for forty-eight years with the Carbon Freight Line, Rio Grande, and Action Trucking. He served and was a member of many clubs including the Good Sams, President of the Squaw Peak Good Sams, member and commander of American Legion Post 72, Manager of the Orem American Legion Baseball Team, member and president of Provo Lions Club.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many positions. He had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and shared it with those around him. Les and June enjoyed camping with the Good Sams and attending reunions and spending time with family. Les brought much humor to those around him. He will always be remembered as the Old Man of the Mountain and the star of any production.

He lost his sweetheart of fifty-four years on May 11, 1997. Les missed her terribly. On February 18, 1998, he married Audrey Christiansen. They enjoyed camping and traveling. They built a life together creating a beautiful home and yard. Les was a loving and caring person with all and accepted everyone.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey, children Sandra (Rex) Workman, LeeAnn (John) Ferran, Allen (Diane) Larson, stepchildren, Tyler (Lisa) Christiansen, Page (Wes) Radford. Les was blessed with twenty-five grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death his parents, wife, six brothers, and seven sisters. Les will be missed by all. He was the best grandpa anyone could ask for.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. Family and friends may call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be held in the Orem City Cemetery.
