J.W. "Dugan" Gilliland, 81, of Hennessey died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Hennessey Care Center.
A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hennepin Cemetery in Hennepin. Arrangements are under direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home in Hennessey.
He was born Sept. 30, 1929, at Davis to Hugh and Mary Alice Aldridge Gilliland.
He married Barbara Casey on June 25, 1953, in Ardmore. The couple later moved to Hennessey where he was an oilfield drilling consultant.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; two sons, Steve Gilliland and wife Cheryl and Ronny Gilliland and wife Tina, all of Hennessey; one sister, Mary Jo Harrison of Eufaula; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Barnes, three brothers and one sister.
