Henry was the son of Silas Capps and Julia Ann Brumley. He married Clementine Flaugher on 20 Jul 1881 in Miller Co., MO.

Dr. G.W. Duncan of this place received a telegram Tuesday afternoon from Judsonia, Arkansas, stating that Henry H. Capps, formerly of this place, died Tuesday and would be buried there Wednesday. Mr. Capps was a brother of the late John Capps at one time a leading merchant of Iberia. He was also an uncle of Mrs. G.W. Duncan. The deceased we understand, was owner of a large tract of fine timber land near Judsonia.
