Mr. Birdwell was dead on arrival at the local hospital on March 28. He was a native of Tennessee and the son of the late Thomas and Emma Kirby Birdwell.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Mitchell Birdwell; one son, James Birdwell, Cookeville; three daughters, Mrs. Trudy Herron of Cookeville; Mrs. Dorothery Flatt of Tullahoma, and Debbie Birdwell of Cookeville; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four brothers, Doyle Birdwell of Warren, Michigan, Joe and Arthur Birdwell of Baxter, Earl Lee Birdwell of Talladaga, Alabama; and two sisters, Mrs. Addie Bell Robinson of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Mrs. Edna Walling of Warren,
