Emma L. was the daughter of Dr. Alvin D. WILLIAMS and Sarah (Harn) WILLIAMS. He was a Free Will Baptist minister/educator which took him to many places in his work. Her mother, was educated in at Cedar Hill Seminary, and then taught for some time prior to her marriage.
Emma was one of six children, the oldest to have survived.
She married Isaiah David Evans, Apr. 25, 1878, at Kenesaw, NE. They had three children. I.David was very active and involved in business and politics, having served three terms in the state legislature. (There is a sketch in the Harn Family genealogy online).
