BURIAL: Inturnment – Abiquiu Cemetery, Abiquiu, New Mexico
BIOGRAPHY: Gilbert G. Mascarenas age 69 passed away at BSA Hospital in Amarillo Texas, November 28, 2010. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Amelia (Amy) Mascarenas of the home. His four children, Marty Mascarenas of Austin, Texas, Carmen Copeland, Gilbert Dale Mascarenas, both of Albuquerque, NM and Joseph Mascarenas of Belen, NM. Several grandchildren. Two step-daughters, Sandra Durr and Lisia McCarty and three grandsons of Amarillo, TX. Gilbert grew up in Los Alamos, NM. Later in life he resided in Chamita, NM. He and Amy moved to Amarillo where they made their home. Gilbert was an electrician. He worked all over New Mexico and Iran. He later retired from IBEW 0611, in Los Alamos. Gilbert went to school in San Juan, Los Alamos and graduated in El Rito, NM. He attended Highlands in Las Vegas. Gilbert was a pilot and had his own plane which he loved, and he was an Explorer with the Boy Scouts in Los Alamos.
