William was a son of Moses Locke Alsup and mother unknown. He married (1) Ruth Hickman, (2) Belle Graham. Had issue, Nathan, 1873, Mary A., 1875, Noah Frank, 1877, Henry Glick, 1884, Frances Belle, 1887, Susie Irene, 1888, Jesse A. 1891, and William L. "Willie", 1893. Jerry Alsup found his grave stone in a cow pasture broken into two pieces. *************************
The cemetery that William Wiley Alsup in buried in is the Starnes Spring Cemetery which is located in Independence Co., Arkansas. To get to the cemetery take Hwy 87 west from Pleasant Plains, to Alonzo and then north to the cemetery. The turn off is several miles before you reach the community of Floral. It is about a dozen miles south of Batesville.
