Robert Hayes Miller was born in Van Buren Co. near Bonaparte, Dec. 28, 1866, bing the eldest son of Chauncey and Mary Miller, and passed away at his home in north Harrisburg Nov. 5, 1919, aged 52 years, 10 months and 5 days. He has been a resident of Van Buren Co. all his life.
He was united in marriage March 6, 1895, to Miss Bess Cleave and to this union five children were born namely; Willa Hayes, Marie, Lucy Belle, Rex and Roger Cleave who with their mother are left to mourn. He also leaves an aged mother, one sister and three brothers, besides many other relatives. He was honest industrious and conscientious, just in all his dealings and had many friends and neighbors who will mourn with the stricken family.
Funeral services were held at the house at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8, and burial was in the Vale cemetery. Rev. J.S. Coppoc had charge of the services.
The whole community join in sincere expressions of sympathy for the bereaved family.
