After Mary's death, George married Katherine (Bosworth) Zellers, born 01/27/1799 Washington County, Kentucky, died 02/01/1852 Jasper County, Missouri on March 22, 1836 in Fountain County, Indiana. Katherine was the daughter of John and Mary Bosworth and widow of Ephriam Zellers. After Ephriam's death, Katherine married George W. Sly on March 22, 1838 in Fountain County, Indiana. George's first wife, The combined Zellers and Sly families came to Jasper County, Missouri in 1840.
After the deaths of their spouses, Miley's father married John's mother, but of course Miley and John were not related.
Miley's half-brother, Levi Sly, was killed in 1863 by Confederate marauders near Forest Mill, six miles east of Carthage, MO on Spring River, and then he was hurriedly taken to Cave Spring Cemetery and buried. The ruins of the mill are west of the bridge across Spring River on County Road 85.
