Mae E. Overstreet, of Salem, Va., passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011. She was born in Botetourt County, a daughter of the late Cline and Myrtle Brugh Baird.

A life long area resident, she was a well known Roanoke area beautician for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Barry Overstreet, and a brother, Cline Baird.

She is survived by a son, Gary Overstreet and his wife, Janice; a daughter, Angie Overstreet Ewell and her husband, Randy; two sisters, Joyce Bowles and Jean Drivers; three grandchildren, Daniel Overstreet, Ty Overstreet and Amber Butner. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2011, in the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Wagner will officiate.

Private burial at Sherwood Memorial Park will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
