Dr. Julia Visor, 52, of Normal, IL., formerly of Aurora passed away Sunday, January 6, 2002 at BroMenn Healthcare Center in Bloomington, IL.
    She was born May 6, 1949 in New Albany, Miss. Julia accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptised at Main Baptist Church. She relocated to Normal, IL., and united with Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she was a choir member and served as needed until her health failed. Julia spent most of her professional career at Illinois State University in various capacities. Her last position was Coordinator for Academic Services, University Collage.
    Julia's memory will be cherished by her mother Vurry; her two sisters: Linda Visor and Sherry Bennett; her two brothers A.J. Visor Jr., and Roy (Susan); three nieces: Ayanna, Olivia and Jessica; two nephews: Larry (Janice) and Nathanial; two great-nieces: Ashley and Paige; and one great-nephew Christian.
    She was preceded in death by her father A.J. Visor Sr.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2002 at Main Baptist Church. Pastor Dezo McGill will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. till the funeral hour Saturday at the church. Visitation will also be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at James Funeral Service (630)851-6503.
