Mr. Rachel Bishop, 93 years of age, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. F. Chorpening, Saturday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock. Mrs. Bishop was the widow of McCurday Bishop and for a number of years they conducted the Bishop Jose, a famous hostelry in Tunnelton. Sometime following his death, Mrs. Bishop went to Bridgeport to reside.
She is survived by four daughers, Mrs. Mac V. Brennen of Kingwood, Mrs. Chorpening, Mrs. Anna Bell McCoy of Parsons, and Mrs. Lou Ora Barnard of Rowlesburg, and a son, William M. Bishop, of Terra Alta.
Funeral services were held in Bridgeport Monday afternoon wit the Rev. J. W. Ayers, Baptist minister, officiating. Interment was made in the Terra Alta Cemetery.
