Services for Ben S. McGee, 71, Creighton were held at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. The Rev. Charles Miller officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Born Dec. 23, 1908 at Sargent, the son of Hiram and Addie McGee, he died Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Creighton Care Centre. He attended rural Sargent schools and married Helen A. Blunck Aug. 8, 1933 at Schuyler. They lived in the Creighton area for the last 34 years and belonged to Christ Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife; his mother, Addie McGee of Aurelia, Ia.; four sons, Eugene of Santa Maria, Calif.; Duane of Omaha, Orin of Creighton and Lynn of Holyoke, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Melva) Brunner and Ruth Soppe, both of Omaha; eight brothers, Earl of Neligh, Bert of Grand Island, Clyde of Pine Island, Minn., Clinton of Berlin, Wisc., Merle of Bridgeport, Keith of Peterson, Ia., Roy of Columbus and Paul of Bloomfield; four sisters, Mrs. Earl (Elsie) Williams of Broken Bow, Mrs. Oscar (Martha) Smith of Aurelia, Ia., Linda Linder of Waurike, Okla. and Mrs. Levy (Mary) Slagle of Julesberg, Colo. and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
