Born in Essex, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Theresa Garnatz Frei. She and her husband, Harry S. Casey, celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5, 2006.
Catherine was employed as a waitress for the restaurant at the former Watt & Shand Department Store and was employed for six years as a packer for the former Hubley Toy Company.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Catherine enjoyed reading and camping.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Harry F. Casey, Lancaster, Pa., and a sister Margaret, wife of Conrad Wolf, Hagerstown, Maryland. She was preceded in death by a son, John Casey, five sisters, Annie Stroke, Betty Glenn, Marie Geyer, Dorothy Bower, Emma Armstrong and three brothers, Eddie, Herman, and Henry Frei.
