He was born March 30, 1926, in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Calvin and Ressie Roadcap Turner.
He was a farmer and worked at National Fruit and Produce before retiring.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
On July 8, 1951, he married the former Wanda Wittig who preceded him in death April 22, 1999.
He is survived by a sister, Frances Ringgold of Harrisonburg, one niece, Barbara, Mitchell, one great-niece, Michele Mitchell; caregivers, Juanita and John Turner.
Pastor Kenneth Williamson will conduct a funeral service 11 a,m. Wednesday at Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway.
Burial will be in the Mountain Grove Cemetery in Fulks Run.
