Elizabeth emigrated to America in 1857. She first settled in Berrien Township, Berrien, Michigan, where she was close to her brothers Jacob Albrecht and George Carl. In 1863 she married Jacob Baughman in Berrien County, Michigan. After his death, she married Thomas Jonas Patrick in 1883 (Berrien County, Michigan). She moved to Ottawa County, Ohio around 1900 and lived with her brother Jacob and his family until her death.
