Feather. Preston County Journal. Kingwood, WV. Thur., Mar. 12, 1891.
Excerpt -- Though it was generally know that Ezekiel Feather was and had been seriously ill for several weeks, yet the announcement of his death was a painful surprise to the neighborhood of Lenox, where he had lived and to the church of which he was a member, faithful and consistent. He died March 4, 1891, in his 86th year. He was the last but tow, f the old Feather family, Joseph of Bruceton, and Mrs. James Beatty, of Washington, Iowa, being now the only survivors. He was much loved and esteemed by all who knew him. The burial took place from the Lutheran Church at the Crab Orchard (Lenox). The day was stormy, yet relatives and friends gathered from far and near, until the church was filled to its utmost capacity. He had been a faithful and consistent member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Crab Orchard for many years. He was a father of a large family of twelve children, all of which survive him.
