Son of Andreas Leuenberger and Anna Elizabeth (Marti) Leuenberger. Married Louise Elnore (Davis) on 3 May 1888 in Saginaw County, Michigan. Children; Helen, Alice, Lula/Lulu, Mary E., Arthur F. Leuenberger.

"Kochville's Eldest Resident Dies - (Photo) - Rites Saturday - Ferdinand Leuenberger, 88, eldest resident of Kochville Township, died Wednesday. His home was at 6855 Davis Road.
A native of the township, he was born March 25, 1863. He married Louisa Davis on May 3, 1888, and they have always resided at the farm home site, which land he cleared to build a portion of the present home. Mr. Leuenberger was an avid hunter and fishermen and enjoyed participatin in these sports as well as working his farm unti taken ill July 30. He attended Kochville Methodist Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son and four daughters; Arthur F. at home, Mrs. Thomas J. Davis of Rudyard, Mrs. Thomas McGuire of Kochville, Mrs. Joseph Fitzgerald of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Robert Kretchman of Saginaw; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren."

"LEUENBERGER, FERDINAND, 6855 Davis Road. Kochville Township. Passed away Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Hospital. Age 88 years. He was born March 25, 1863, in Kochville Township. He married Louisa Davis, May 3, 1888. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and worked about his farm until July 30, when he was taken ill. He is the oldest known resident of Kochville Township. His parents came here from Switzerland, and settled in Kochville Township, which has since been his home. He is the last of the family of eight. He attended the Kochville Methodist Church. He leaves his wife; one son and four daughters, Arthur F. Leuenberger, at home; Mrs. Thomas J. Davis, Rudyard; Mrs. Thomas McGurie, Kochville Township; Mrs. Joseph Fitzgerald, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Robert Kretchman, Saginaw; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral will take place at 3:30 p. m. Saturday from the Case Chapel. Rev. John Roach will officiate, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may see him at the chapel after 4 p. m. Thursday."
