In 1947 he started work at Dragon Cement Plant, formally known as Martin Marietta Cement Plant. He retired in 1982 after 35 years employment.
Mr. Winslow was predeceased by a daughter Evelyn Merrifield and her husband Percy Jr. in 1972; two grandsons, Donald Grant, Peter Upham both in 1989; and a great-great granddaughter, Danielle Havener in 2000. He is survived by two sons, David Winslow and his wife Christine of Rockland, Edmund Winslow of Warren; three daughters, Carolyn Fales and her husband James, Sr. of Cushing, Roberta Carmichael and her husband Lewis of Thomaston, Lida Upham and her husband Albion of Warren; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; his long time companion Arline Dennison of West Rockport and her family; Raymond and Pam Dennison Jr. of Vinalhaven, Lawrence and Glenda Dennison of Owls Head, Bruce Dennison of Rockland, David and Mindy Dennison of Thomaston, Cindie Boucher of Rockland, Eleanor and Chuck Merry of Waldoboro, and Liz Dennison of Thomaston.
