Laura Mae (Marshall) Bontz age 77 of Ada, Ohio, formerly of Vandalia, passed away at 11:35 a.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at St. Rita's Hospital in Lima, Ohio.
She was a Vandalia High School graduate and a member of the Baptist Church.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 16, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, Missouri 63382. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, 63382. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Hoehn. Music provided by selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Marshall, Eddie Marshall, Benny Marshall, Shane Bontz, Paul D'Arca and Tex Williams.

Laura Mae was a homemaker and enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years. She enjoyed bowling, crochet, gardening and her flowers. Over the past several years she was a devoted Fox News watcher.

She was born May 27, 1932 in Vandalia, the daughter of William Guy and Florence Mae (Greenwood) Marshall.
She married William Ernest "E.W." Bontz on August 27, 1949 in Hannibal; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one daughter, Laura Denise and husband, Rick D'Arca of Ada, Ohio; one son, William E. "Bill" Bontz of Vandalia; two brothers: Charles Kenneth Marshall of Eolia and Guy Edward Marshall of Vandalia; four grandchildren, Paul D'Arca and Tony D'Arca both of Ada, Ohio; Shane Bontz and Crystal Bontz both of Vandalia; three grandchildren: Josie Bontz, Lydia Bontz and Draven Bontz; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: husband, "E.W." Bontz.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the donor's choice.
