Co.K,17th Kentucky. Whitting and the 17th Kentucky were present at the battle of Fort Donelson,Tennessee, where he was badly wounded in the thigh February 15th ,1862. He wasthken to the General Hospital in St, Louis,Missouri. Private Whittinghill passed away in the hospital March 27,1962. He was 23 yeats old.
