Mrs. Ethel Louise Parent, wife of Dr. W. G. Parent, died Thursday morning (April 7), following a long illness, at Rancho de La Vista, the estate of Lady Margaret Sharp.
She was 41 years old, a native of Vincennes, Ind., had been in California 12 years and in San Bernardino 11 years.
Surviving besides Dr. Parent are a daughter, Mrs. Roy Baird, of Arcadia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Doodeward of Covington, Ky., and Mrs. Novena Clark of Santa Barbara; and two brothers, Charles Bouchie of Vincennes, Ind., and Walter Bouchie of Logansport, Ind., and two grandchildren.
Funeral services Saturday. "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose" were played. Gate City chapter, No. 212, Order of Eastern Star, had charge of services at the chapel, while San Gorgonio Shrine, White Shrine of Jerusalem, conducted graveside services at Montecito Memorial park.
Pallbearers were P. H. Powers, H. G. Cowdrey, Roy Baird, Roy Clark, Fred Clark, R. V. Trevillyan.

Montecito Memorial park reports that after the service her remains were cremated and forwarded to Logansport, Ind.
Her marriage license application to Veterinary Dr. Wilber George Parent, Jan 1926 at Santa Ana, California, gives her name as Louise McElderry and reports that this will be her 2nd marriage.
