She was born in Draper, Va., on April 10, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Robert Kidd and Juanita Gunn Kidd.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Troy Lawson; sister, Faye K. Taylor; and two brothers, Glenn Kidd and Donald Kidd.
She was a member of the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pulaski.
Surviving are brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Margaret Kidd, of Pulaski; brother-in-law and sister-inlaw, Robert and Peggy Lawson, of Pulaski; sister-inlaw and brother-in-law, Mary and Archie Alderman, of Max Meadows; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010, from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be held on Friday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 319 Franklin Avenue, Pulaski, Va. 24301.
