Robert Tracy (Bob) Gresham, 50, 5 Marchmont Dr., died Friday afternoon in a Rome hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Gresham was a native of Floyd County. He was born July 24, 1926, son of the late E. V. and Lillie Mae Crozier Gresham. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion, Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mr. Gresham was associated with the Electrical department for the City of Rome for 21 years. After that, he was associated with Rome Frozen Food Co. and for the past year was associated with Integrated Products Co.
Survivors include his widow, the former Lorene McCool, who he married Dec. 26, 1947; one son, Randy Gresham, Rome; one daughter, Pam Gresham, Rome; five brothers, Sidney Gresham, Rome, William Gresham, Abilene, Texas, Dudley Gresham, Rome, Roy Gresham, Rome and Harold Gresham, Hartwell; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Price, Abilene, Texas and Mrs. Dot Howrem, Rome.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Hood and Gerald Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers include Sidney Gowens, Billy Fuller, Horace Dykes, Don Biggers, Jack Shields and J. C. Keith. An honorary escort will include Willie Reece, Frank Briggs, Mike King, David Goddard, Ray James, Mark Gresham, Harold Payne, Tom Anderson, Dr. C. J. Wyatt, Larry Mitchell, David Axely, Tommy Sharp, Fred Mason, Tony Cescutti and employees of Plant 5, Integrated Products.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home and the family will be at the residence of a brother, Roy and Mrs. Gresham, 21 Atteiram Dr. The body will be carried to the church at 1 p.m. today to lie in state until the hour of the funeral.
