A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Howren was born July 9, 1929, daughter of the late Elliott Vincent Gresham and Lillie Mae Crozier Gresham.
Mrs. Howren had been employed by Integrated Products and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and the Crusaders Sunday School Class.
Survivors include: a daughter, Lynn Davis, Rome; a son, Thomas Michael Caldwell, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Roy Gresham and Elliott Sidney Gresham, both of Rome, and Harold Gresham, Baldwin; a sister, Mary Jean Hilliard, Abilene, Texas; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ken Hinckley officiating.
