Salvatore Bono was the son of John Bono. He came to the United States in 1912-1914 from Sicilly, Italy. He was known by his friends as Sam Bono. Sam was a Brick layer and stone mason in his early years. He was a volunteer fireman in Northvale NJ, where he lived the most of his life. Sam Bono was married first to J. Albanese with whom he had two children, John Bono and Ida Bono. Later he married Anna Birbiglia Bono, they had Virginia, Louis, Josephine,Mary, Stephanie and Ann. He has many grand children and great grand children all across the united states.
