Charity King,
87, of Litton Road in Oneida, died last Monday night, December 10, 2001, at the Sunbridge Nursing Home in Huntsville. She was born in Scott County on November 11, 1914, and was the daughter of the late Marion Litton and Martha Stanley Litton. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Lige King; three brothers: Lawrence, Elmer and Ovie Litton; and two sisters, Arizona Marcum and Rosetta Thomas. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters: Delcie Marcum and Laura Posey; a special niece and nephew, Beulah Wise and Lindel Posey; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held last Thursday in the chapel of West – Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Lon Chenowith and Rev. Chester Morgan officiating. The O'Neal Family sang. Burial was in the Litton Cemetery.
