Funeral Services for Fred Neal, 81, of 4257 Edgewater Dr., Orlando, Fl., a former Benton resident, will be held at 2pm Sunday at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton.
Rev. H.E. Hayden will officiate and interment will be in the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery, Benton. The body will lie in state after 5pm Saturday at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be held at 8pm Saturday at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Neal, who lived in Orlando the past five years, died at 1:30pm Wednesday at the Orange Memorial Hospital in Orlando. He was a son of the late Elijah T. and Mary (Bell) Neal and he was also preceded in death by his wife, in 1965, the former Lura Heard. He was a member of the Benton Masonic Lodge 64.
He is survived by a son, Thomas Neal of Orlando, Fl., six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Emily Ellis of Benton, and a brother, Jerry Neal of Akin. Obit courtesy of JoAnn McGhee
