We adopted Scooby from the animal shelter. They estimated he was 5 or 6 years old. It was obvious a little after we adopted him that he had been abused. He never tried to harm us, and was a very good watch dog to us. But when neighbor kids threw things at him later, he didn't forget. A few years later when one came in our yard, and got close enough to Scooby, he reminded them he knew what they did. We had Scooby for about 3 1/2 years when we lost him to liver cancer. He loved his Daddy, and everyday when he heard his truck come home, he would roo until he spoke to him. Then he'd stop, and lay back down. He was such a beautiful German Shepherd, and is still greatly missed. We love you, Scooby Doo.
