William Hindal Dies at Home

Services to Be on Monday Afternoon


William Arthur Hindal, 77, died at his home, 1305 Monroe N. W., late Friday following a lingering illness. He was retired from the Northwestern States Portland Cement company in 1946 after 26 years of service.

Mr. Hindal was born Aug. 24, 1873, at Edgewood, Iowa. He came to Mason City from Greeley, Iowa, and had made his home here since that time.

He was a member of the I. O. O. F. lodge at Greeley and the First Presbyterian church of Mason City.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Hobert Duncan, a grandson, Hobert Duncan, Jr., Mason City, and a brother, Eli Hindal, Manchester, Iowa. He was preceded in death by two daughters in infancy and by 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Major Memorial chapel, with the Rev. Wilbur F. Dierking, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be at the Elmwood cemetery. The Major funeral home in charge.
