Pvt. Clopper Rites To Be Held Sunday

The body of Pvt. Millard Cleveland Clopper, Blairs Valley, who died at St. Lo, France, on July 19, 1944, will arrive in this county this afternoon for burial on Sunday.

Pvt. Clopper, 23 years old at the time of his death, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George David Clopper, Blairs Valley, and a member of the Church of God, Blairs valley.

Surviving, besides his parents are sisters, Mrs. Jessie Sword, Mrs. Julia Poole, Clearspring; brothers, Lawrence Clopper, this city and Frank Clopper, Mercersburg, Pa.

The body is due to arrive at 1:28 p.m. at Big Spring Station this afternoon. The funeral will be conducted Sunday at the Church of God in Blairs Valley at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. J. Wade Huffman officiating, with interment in adjoining cemetery.

Full military services will be held, in charge of the Clearspring American Legion.
