Obituary:
Services for Mrs Furney Hall Holmesm age 82, died Monday ate her home at 718 South She She Avenue, Hominy, OK was conducted in the chapel of the Powell Funeral home, Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. R.H. Miller, Paster of the Oak Hill Baptist Church,Hominy, OK. officiating. Intermnet was in the Hominy Cemetery, Osage Co.,OK.
Music for the service was furnished by Mrs Ray Carnagey and Mrs. Robert McNeill with Mrs S. A. Taylor at the piano. Casket bearers were George Blackwood,George Surritte, T.L. McFall, D.E. Brown, Harry Craft and Guy Craft.
Born at Orrick, Ray County, MO September 15, 1866. She married John Henry Holmes,Jr. in 10 Feburary 1884. She lived in Osage County, OK for the past 23 years. Her husband and two daughter preceded her in death.
Survivors include Walter Franklin Holmes, Hominy and Mrs Ethel Westerman, Bartlesville, OK.
